Wildside Adventures is a white water rafting and adventure tourism company located in Mission Beach, near Cairns in Australia. The Cairns Region has some of the best whitewater rafting in the country. Wildside Adventures ensures to give you a thrill to remember, offering exhilarating rides through the great rapids of the Tully river on its special 2 person sports rafts.

From Cairns, you drive for about 2 and a half hours to the Tully river which offers spectacular white water rafting opportunities. Wildside Adventures has carefully selected and well-trained guides to accompany you on your river rafting adventure. We also supply lifejackets (PFDs) which are specifically intended for the whitewater conditions.

You bring your own shoes which must be able to handle wet conditions. If you do not have proper shoes, we can supply them at a low charge on the day you undertake your adventure.

Half Day Rafting Trips

If you are a bit unsure about your rafting trip, or you are a first-time rafter, you can go on a half day thrill on the Tully river. The half-day trip on the Tully can be undertaken any time of the year as water levels are controlled by  daily water releases . The Tully river is rated grade 2-3 and could be the best place to take your first sports rafting Cairns trip and decide if you would want to try something wilder.

Full Day Water Rafting Trips

On the Tully River, you can get an exciting full day of the best water rafting Cairns has to offer with Grade 3 rapids on offer. This means that you get more excitement, more of a challenge and more foaming rapids. 

For beginners who do not mind some adrenaline rush, this might be the ideal trip to take. We also offer extreme white water rafting out of Cairns on Coachable Creek. For those who want more than rafting, you can try our extreme trip which includes an optional cliff jump at a spectacular waterfall gorge. 

Sports Rafts on the Tully River

The Tully river has a natural flow and is rated grade 1-3. On this river, we can take you on an exhilarating 2-man sports raft. The trip also includes a bush walk through the Wooroonooran National Park to where you initially started your journey. This is indeed not the trip for a lie about. The water rafting trip on the Tully is also a full day.
