The mighty Tully River

This spectacular waterway lies in tropical Far North Queensland, around two hours south of Cairns. It begins 800 metres above sea level in the Great Dividing Range, before travelling for 133 kilometres to Tully Heads, where it meets the Coral Sea. Along the way, the Tully River meanders through some of Australia’s most beautiful and unspoilt scenery – from densely forested mountains to ancient rainforest to rolling paddocks. Much of this environment is inaccessible by road, which means the only way you can see it is from the water.
