Half Day and Full Day White Water Rafting Tours

A popular offering from Wildside Adventures is a white water rafting adventure that provides fun-filled half day and full day sports rafting trips. We are unique because we have extensive experience in sports rafting guided adventures. Sports rafting uses a two-person inflatable kayak to navigate the river and gives you complete control of your adventure.

Our white water rafting tours begin in Cairns or Mission Beach where we will drive you to the entry site on Tully River. You can also drive yourself to the start point. Here is a map to help you decide if self-driving is a good option for you.

Our professional and experienced guides will equip you and teach you the fundamentals of white water rafting and how to use your sports raft. Once you are comfortable, our friendly guides will take you down the Tully River, surrounded by some of the oldest rainforests in the world. While on your white water rafting tour you will become part of the ecosystem. You will be immersed in the sights and sounds. Don’t forget to keep your eyes out for a cassowary as they are unique to the region.

Full Day White Water Rafting Tours

Your full day white water rafting trip starts at 8:00. After our friendly guides have you ready for the river, you will begin your 12 kilometre trip down Tully River. You will navigate class 2 and 3 rapids and enjoy refreshments at two different pull out sites along your journey.

Firstly, we will stop for morning tea. After a bit more white water rafting we will stop for lunch. Our stops allow you to rest and recharge. Your white water rafting trip is physically demanding, and the stops will feel well-deserved.

Half Day White Water Rafting Tours

Half day white water rafting tours are a great option if you don’t have time for a full day tour. They are also great if you have members of your party for which a full day tour would be difficult. A half day tour is still packed with lots of fun.

You have the option of a 9:00 or a 12:00 start with a half day tour. You will navigate down 6 kilometres of the Tully River. During your trip, you will ride class 2 and class 3 rapids. At the end of the white water rafting tour, Wildside Adventures gives you a beer to celebrate a job well done.
